and join us for an evening of networking, education, and giving
back to your community. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, this
will be “Member Appreciation” night; if you are a member of IMA
and you bring a guest to the meeting, the member’s attendance
will be free!!! Also, everyone who brings a donation for the
Open Heart Kitchen will have their name entered into a drawing
for a chance to win free attendance at a later meeting.

Robert
Fried, Attorney at Law
Robert
is a Partner with Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo, where
he manages the Northern California private sector labor and
employment practice. As a trial and appellate advocate, he has
argued before the US and California Supreme Court and other
state and appellate courts on labor relation issues. He has
served as an expert witness, mediated complex class actions and
litigated on behalf of Fortune 500 companies, small family
businesses and international financial institutions. Robert
sits on the Legal and Employer Relations Committee of the
California Chamber and has authored many of its most respected
human resource and labor law publications. He serves as outside
counsel for many employer associations. He was named one of 12
most outstanding attorneys by the East Bay Business Times
and he is consistently listed as one of the top litigators in
the Bay Area. As an appointee of Governor Schwarzenegger’s,
Robert sits on the executive committee of the Governor’s
Committee on the Employment of Persons with Disabilities.
Robert received his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from UC
Berkeley, and his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of
Law, where he was Technical Editor of the Law Review.
